I have been involved in many types of writing and copyediting projects, both as a freelancer and as a member of volunteer organizations. Below you will find descriptions of two representative projects. Please email or call for additional samples of marketing copy, website work, legal writing, and business writing. MARKETING / TECHNICAL WRITING:  

Sample Project:  Eastside Food Co-op Member Investment Program
 
 

 
In my role as a member of its Board of Directors, I helped to develop a new member investment program for the Eastside Food Cooperative in Northeast Minneapolis.

As part of the project, I wrote the formal Disclosure Statement necessary to comply with the legal requirements for the stock offering. I also worked on copy for the program's various marketing and educational materials, such as this brochure designed by local graphic artist Ginny Sutton. Consistent with the Co-op's grassroots ethos and community-focused mission, the brochure also featured artwork from one of its youngest members. 

(As an epilogue, the capitalization campaign was a great success and the Eastside Food Co-op is thriving!)
 
COPYEDITING:

For the last three years I have assisted the Communications Director for the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts in copyediting scholarly and artistic submissions to NCECA's yearly journal. This work involves editing articles for length, grammar, and style, as well as shepherdizing citations for uniformity.
